Our Motto is “Don't worry, beach happy!” We updated our vacation with beachy décor and a new mattress to provide you with a relaxing and comfortable stay while vacationing in Destin. Rules: Smoking is not allowed inside the units or on the patio; however, designated smoking areas are provided for your convenience. We kindly ask that no pets accompany you during your visit. Each unit accommodates a maximum of 6 guests to ensure everyone enjoys their space. An initial supply of paper towels, toiletries, and trash bags is included in the rental. Once these supplies are used, guests will need to restock for the remainder of their stay.

"Stunning views of the sunsets! Very quiet. Comfortable beds, though the twin bed is very high off the ground, hard to get into bed. The place was clean except for the shower door track, which was dirty. The water pressure was perfect, and the water was nice and hot! The wall clock in the living room didn't work (no big deal, we use our phones anyway), and both the guest faucet and the kitchen faucets were hard to turn off completely. I reported those things. You can't beat the heated pool and the easy access to the beach! We also loved the walkway along the street.

"We have stayed at the islander now for many years. We enjoy it each time. This room was great for our family. The twin beds in the 2nd bedroom were very tall to try to get into but moved having storage underneath but wasn’t a huge deal and we made it work. Would definitely stay again.

"This is year #6 for us at The Islander! Amazing staff, great property, super clean, quiet and safe! This was our first time in unit 717 and it was great! Very clean and tastefully decorated, I loved that they had a closet with beach toys- we even left the ones we purchased so the next guests could use them too! The only thing I didn’t love about our stay is the elevator was broke multiple times throughout our stay and the new bracelet wrist bands are terrible and not reliable at all, we were locked out of our unit multiple times. Other than those two things though we had a great stay and no complaints at all! We will continue to come back year after year!

"The condo was super clean and decorated so nicely. There were 5 of us (3 teenagers & us parents). Each kid had their own bed which is a must for us. We used the sofa sleeper. The only negative was king mattress is very very firm. I know that’s a personal preference but it was hard to sleep on it. We utilized the kitchen and cooked several meals. Loved that we had extra towels available for showers. We did notice that one of the chairs on the balcony is broken. It had a screw sitting on the seat and the metal frame wasn’t attached. Not a big deal we just didn’t use that particular chair.

The left elevator was a bit rickety. You never knew of it was actually going to work. Management should have someone out to check it.

Alan with the beach chair service was AWESOME!!

Overall we loved it! Would definitely rent this unit again.

"The Islander is a wonderful place to enjoy the Destin area and the beach. Only one thing which would stop me from staying in Room 717 next time. If you Love a HARD bed, this is where you want to go to sleep. As for me, I toughed it out. My wife slept on the couch for 9 nights. Loved 717 other than that. I hope they install something to make it softer. We will be back. If I knew the bed was softer, I would book our next 9 nights in 717 right now! Beautiful view! Oh yeah, and a couple of those patio chairs which rock and swivel would be nice. Some have those and some do not. 717 does not! Overall, the Islander is The Best place to stay!

"Nice everything was great. The space and the location view were the best. Thursday night firework from the balcony with some wine is amazing. Very quiet no problem with anyone everyone was friendly. The master bedroom bath is amazing. The kitchen had everything we needed. Everything was laid out neatly in the kitchen. If you travel with family, I loved the Grill area with the gazebo and most of the live DJs at the pool just need more music.

"We wanted to stay an extra night...WOW...the price went up on holiday weekend...ouch...UNTIL we saw THE VIEW from 717. Oh My! We now want 717 every visit. One problem... The chairs did not rock and swivel on the patio. That is what this old person wanted. BUT...did I mention THE VIEW?

"The condo was exactly as pictured, clean, full of amenities, & close to the beach! The chairs and umbrella on the beach were so nice, just get there early to mark your spot with a towel! The pools and hot tubs were also very clean. We had a wonderful time.

Traveling for Wedding 2021

"Over all the property was in great condition and very well maintained.
My only issue is that they don't provide little things as in trash bags. As a traveler that came in an uber its hard to go back and forth to the store, so be prepared for a good grocery trip to retrieve all your stuff. Check in and check out was not as easy as claimed, my mother and sister came at a later time and no one was at the front desk, had to be tracked down. Maybe make it a little bit easier for people that's been traveling all day.
The main street had lots of things to do, just not close enough to walk.
The beach service was ok but had to hunt the guy down, after we sat in the wrong side.
This was my 1st time here so next time I know what I need to do.
I will travel again.

A Break from COVID

"Clean property. Clean condo. Convenient to grocery and restaurants. We utilized the Islander VIP discounts at area merchants. Never had to wait long for an elevator and the facility was full. Parking lot was also easy and close to where we wanted to be in relation to our condo. Views of ocean and beach area were just as promised. We definitely will recommend and return to this resort.

Relaxing Stay

"It was nice and relaxing stay during the pandemic. We stayed last year in 714 and we enjoyed it and our stay this year in 717. I will say as Property Manager of a luxury property in Indiana I was expecting more of a routine cleaning. I did not once see the company cleaning the buttons in the elevators or door handles. Also there was one particular employee at the front desk that was rude, showed attitude/frustration. I understand this time is difficult but still providing great customer service is still important.

"Everything was perfect the one thing that really got to me was when checking out we picked up all the trash and asked for some trash bags and the receptionists said we had to go buy some all that money we paid we couldn't get trash bags to pick up the trash in our condo

The room was beautiful and had had everything that you needed. The view was absolutely breathtaking. The beach access was a short walk away and the service there was perfect. The condo was cleaned to perfection and overall made for a wonderful stay.

"My wife and I had a great time at the Islander Resort. The Condo was very nice, with everything we needed for our stay. We loved walking to the beach everyday, then sitting in the jacuzzi tub at the resort, before going back to our unit, and seeing the sunset almost every evening !! The view was great from our unit, looking out over the nearby lake, and harbor inlet to watch the boats go in and out, plus the sunsets on the gulf were priceless. We are definitely coming back again in the future !!
