Enjoy this beachfront vacation condo on tucked-away Holiday Isle while close to Destin,
Florida's main thoroughfare. This stunning spot is part of the Emerald Coast in Florida's
panhandle region. Unit #508 at The Islander, accommodates up to 6 people with a king bed in
the master bedroom, 2 twin beds in the guest bedroom and a sleeper sofa in the living
room. Your private balcony is equipped with 4 chairs, a table and a lounger and overlooks the
pool and the white sandy beaches of the Gulf of Mexico. Some days, you may even see a
dolphin playing in the surf. Your rental includes free beach service with 2 chairs and an
umbrella provided and set up by the on-duty beach attendant. The property has two heated
pools, two hot tubs, a Gazebo with BBQ's, Shuffleboard, Pickleball and Tennis courts.

This unit features updated decor, and hardwood floors, with a sofa, love seat, recliner chair and a
42" flat-screen TV in the living area. Free WIFI is provided. The dining room table seats 6, and
there are 2 additional bar stools at the countertop. The updated kitchen has new stainless
steel appliances, granite countertops, tile backsplash, Plantation shutters, tile floors and light
fixtures over the sink, offering openness into the living room with a view of the Gulf.
The well stocked kitchen has all the cookware and dinnerware for your needs. Both bedrooms have new
suites with complementing bedspreads with new mattresses, carpeting, mirrored closet doors,
Plantation shutters and ceiling fans. The guest bedroom has a 40" flat-screen TV, and the master
bedroom has a 32" flat screen TV. The master bedroom also has a safe for guest use. Both
bathrooms have granite countertops, new fixtures and tile floors. The master bathroom has
double sinks and a walk-in shower. The guest bathroom features new cultured marble walls in
the tub. Both bathrooms have hair dryers.

All linens, including beach towels, are provided for your use and can be exchanged at the
Laundry Room on the first floor. Washers and dryers are available in the second floor Laundry
Room.

"We've stayed in this unit now 3 times, once for many weeks during COVID to work remote. Noticed some improvements this time around we loved. Property was always clean and staff ever present to address anything. Only negative is internet was sporadic and slow while editing photos, etc online. Also iffy if we could get NetFlix (using our account) to work due to Internet connectivity. Outside of that no complaints, any issues we found were promptly addressed.

"Condo 508 had a lovely view of the ocean. The confo was clean, but it was not the most updated condo. In the kitchen, the utinsel drawer stuck and squeaked when you opened it. The resort amenities were very good, except the basketball court is on the tennis court, and that interrupted our play. They had eight pickle ball courts, which were nice but not all used at the same time, so one of them should really have the basketball court. The two pools were lovely, but a little warm in July. The location was lovely, the sand was very white. The ocean was very clear and the temperature of the water was perfect. We were close to the west harbor to watch boats go in and out. We also watched fireworks there over the harbor on Thursday night. The condo only gives you two rolls of toilet paper, and a couple packets of dishwasher soap everything else has to be bought. Overall it was a very nice place.

"Room was clean but has a dark ambience to it. The Islander property as a whole is starting to feel run down after coming here for 10 years. Elevators are outdated, one was non-functional the entire stay. The other feels likes it’s going to stop working any minute. The bathrooms by the pool were not working and closed. The stairwells by the trash chutes were dirty and had remnants of people’s garbage liquid stains on them. They ran out of space at the beach one day that they had to put our umbrella and chairs near th trash can furthest from the water that was possible. It was a disappointing stay this time for sure.

Unfortunately, we have no control over mechanical issues when it comes to the elevator but we have been working very hard to get this issue sorted out. "The unit was very clean; Couch and chairs in living area quite comfortable, kitchen small but efficient for short stay (knives are excellent, which is very unusual for rentals). Master bed very comfortable, but pillows need upgrade. Sleeper sofa very disappointing with springs missing and mattress quality low. Gulf water is beautiful but beaches are very crowded (of course, our stay was during July 4 weekend so this was not unexpected). Pools are kept quite clean, nice pickleball courts, no other amenities to speak of.

"Great Views and Location. Very nice unit. Fully stocked kitchen with many cooking utensils, pots and pans etc. All in great condition. Kitchen appliances on the newer side. The Master Bedroom mattress could use an upgrade. both sides of mattress have a dip where you lay and a ridge in the middle. Foam pad could help.

"First time my family and I have had a "family vacation" just us. The heated pools were a hit with the whole family. Although our condo was on floor 5 there wasn't a time we waited more than a few seconds for the elevator. The room had a gorgeous view of the ocean and we could see out kids in the pool. The room was clean and maintained; enough room for our family of five to relax comfortably.

"Our stay was very nice! The room was clean, comfortable and very relaxing. We all enjoyed our stay. The only 2 things that needed improvement would be be the guest bathroom. It had a tub w/ shower but, shower head wouldn’t turn on and one of the burners on the oven didn’t work part of the time. Those were the only 2 things. I would recommend this place as a safe family friendly vacation spot. I’m looking forward to going there again next year

Our First Trip to Destin but Not our Last!

"Our family of five adults had a FABULOUS time in Destin, but what made it so great was the beautiful condo Unit 508! The remodel of this unit was everything the owner claimed it to be. The view was absolutely picture perfect, one that I'm framing. The resort grounds were beautifully maintained, the pool and hot tub were clean every day, the grill area was lovely and located right by the ocean, and the walk to the beach from our condo was convenient and short. Having two beach chairs and an umbrella available to us on the beach during our stay was wonderful and greatly appreciated. Our family had zero negative comments about our accommodations and the resort. We will be back!!! Thank you so much!!

Great Experience & Unit Except Floor Needs Moping

"We had a wonderful stay in Unit 508! We absolutely loved the Islander and always will try to get this unit whenever we stay at the Islander again. The beds were comfortable, the unit was nicely furnished, the view was great, it was quiet, etc. My only complaint is that the floor would turn our feet black in a matter of minutes. The floor had been vacuumed nicely but I could tell the floor hadn't been mopped in a long time!

6/5/21 7 night stay

"Arrival was nice. Busy. But folks at main office moved everyone quickly. First glance of unit was nice. Layed out good. The kids loved the separate twin beds. Master bath and bed has plenty of room. Over all pleased with unit. Only negative for room would be there is no laundry room in unit. But there is one on site. Pools were sufficient for the kids. They didn’t mind. Not overly crowded at eithe pools at any time. Very quiet at night. Can’t hear foot traffic or partying going on. Accommodations at beach were ok. Would like to see the chairs spread out more not in a “horseshoe shape” for more views of the water.

Better than a Cruise

"Naked (boxers and shirt, don't want to scare the children)coffee every morning on the deck. The free chairs where a great gift and the attendants very helpful as was the desk staff. Beautifully decorated. Convenient to our favorite shopping and dinning. Pool was at the back door and beach was a skip and a jump past the pool and tennis courts. A short walk on the beach to the Destin pass for snorkeling the sea wall and fishing. Thank you all for making it a wonderful vaka.

"We have been staying at the Islander for about 10 years now. We love the atmosphere and location. This year we stayed at the in the cottage and I will not be doing that again just because of the mattress in the master bedroom was very uncomfortable. We had to call and get the toilet fixed and water was not draining out of the dishwasher. All was fixed the day after we called! Most condos have been wonderful. Some are much nicer than ever. But the experience of the beach, the pool, and the grills area have always been fantastic! Would recommend it to anyone and have numerous times.

"Destin is our second home, 30 + years. We stay at several different condos. It was just my husband and I this time and our daughter recommended The Islander. The condo and grounds were very clean and groomed. Front desk very polite and the condo was equipped with everything we needed .
