Islander Condo #502 is an East View, Bronze Unit that sleeps up to 6 people. Avoid the elevators with easy access to the ground floor and parking lot via the stairs near the condo. Step into our tropical paradise conveniently located for quick and easy access to the beach or your choice of two pools.

The kitchen is recently updated with new cabinets and appliances and is fully equipped with all the tools to meet your cooking needs. Gather around the dining room table that seats 6 or relax in the living area to watch the 32” TV with DVD Player and digital cable access. There is a queen sleeper sofa available for guests.

The master bedroom boasts a king size bed, and a 20” TV. The bathroom has a tub/ shower combo. The guest bedroom has 2 twin sized beds and a 32” TV with a DVD player. The guest bathroom has a tub/ shower combo.

Venture out to the private balcony and view the boats entering and leaving the harbor through the east pass or one of the breathtaking sunsets an evening can offer.

"Great pools with warm water! And the walk to the beach is short! Great service on the beach with chairs and people checking on you! Highly recommend! I will say that the condo itself could use a little upkeep. Refrigerator was a little beat up, and couches felt a little worn. That’s the only reason I’m not giving this a 5. Those issues were no big deal though. Would definitely stay here again!

Unit 502 Review

"I rent a condo at the Islander 2 to 3 times a year and this is the first time that I rented unit 502. It seemed that this condo is not kept up to the expectations that most guests would expect. The carpet in the living room coming in from the kitchen was coming up from the floor and it was secured with duct tape which wasn’t holding so well. This was a tripping hazard. Also, the paint on the walls in the master bathroom was chipping off the wall. I realize this is a bronze unit but I would expect it to be kept up better than that. We still had a great time and will continue to come to the Islander, but will not rent unit 502 again.

"For the cost of the room the furnishings were appropriate. There was a slight odor when entering the room each time. We checked the fridge and cupboards for any leftover food. There was none and the garbage was not the problem. We never did find where it was coming from. All in all it was a pleasant stay and what I was expecting.

"We love coming to the Islander and have done so for several years. We will continue coming. Everything was wonderful except for one problem. Our unit, 502, smelled musty. It was strong when we first walked in, but then we aired it out. It was better after that, but the smell still lingered somewhat. Other than that, the unit was great, and our overall stay was wonderful.

Perfect Place to Stay at the Beach

"We were looking for a beachfront resort in the United States with blue water.
On the recommendation of a friend, we came to The Islander and were not disappointed! We could see the beach right out of our windows and balcony. The beach sand is white, and due to gated access to the beach, it does not feel overcrowded. There are many shopping opportunities, and there’s a pool,
hot tub, tennis and pickle ball courts for recreation.

NEEDS UPDATING

"The unit had a great view. The kitchen did not have a good selection of pots & pans to cook in or utensils. The dishwasher and refrig were older, countertops were outdated and there were no starter packs for the dishwasher, no detergent or sponge to wash the dishes, not a single plastic container to store leftovers, etc., only 1 extra trash bag, no tissues. Had a musty smell. Overall, needs a major update.

relaxing vacation

"We really enjoyed our stay in Destin at the Islander Resort in Unit 502! The resort staff took care of all the paperwork and kept in good contact with us about the arrival details. The Unit had everything we needed and the view was wonderful! The kitchen was well equipped although we didn't cook many meals there. The balcony was shaded no matter what time of day you wanted to enjoy it! It was so great to be able to hear the waves from our unit! The bed was very comfortable in the master and since it was only us 2 we didn't use the other bedroom but did use both bathrooms which was nice. It was nice also to have a safe to lock up our valuables. The hot tubs and pools were very nice and warm and the area around them was wonderful! The beach was beautiful white sand and good for walks with gentle waves and dolphin views every day! The chairs and umbrella that were prearranged by the resort was very nice and the attendant Bryson was great with the guests. We had a problem one day with a window that wouldn't close and it was repaired shortly after we called so the staff responded quickly. We did have a problem several times during the week where people were smoking on their balconies ( which is not allowed) and it was unpleasant for us while we were trying to enjoy our balcony. The office was contacted about the problem and was understanding and said they would check into the situation. The fine was $1000. There is a designated smoking area on the property but often times people did not choose to use it and would be in/near the public areas. The unit has carpet which we felt would be better to replace with solid surface flooring of some kind due to it looked worn and for cleanliness and we felt it contributed to a musty smell even after airing out the unit and using febreeze. Overall, we had a wonderful time staying at this resort/unit and will most likely stay again in the future but may try a unit with solid flooring.

"We had never been to THE ISLANDER UNTIL THIS PAST WEEK - it was in good condition, very clean and seemed freshly painted. GREAT VIEW and balcony nice. EVEN though there was some work on-going, we had a nice quiet visit there and felt 'right at home'. Pool area is certainly nice as well.

Great getaway

"Decided to take a last minute trip to Destin. I have been there several times over the years and a few of those were to the Islander. I decided again because of the location, a clean nice place, and pricing. They are reasonably priced and easy to book. Check in is at 3. Like most everyplace in the world. I hate this. Your first day on a trip is always wasted. I know you can use the pool and beach etc. but it is not the same. We got there around noon after driving 13 hours and the room wasn't ready until after 4. Other than this the trip was great. Alan and the beach service is great!!

"We had 4 incredible days in Destin, staying at The Islander in unit 502. The condo is directly across from the beach with easy access. The beds were comfortable, had plenty of towels, and it was clean and quiet. I would definitely rent this condo on my next trip to Destin. Owner was great to work with!

"We love the Islander! Unit 502 was perfect and had a great view. It's like our home away from home. Alan (beach service) was so friendly and helpful, setting up our umbrella & chairs daily. We love that they are included. Emerald Isle is a great beach. Walking to the jetty and back is our daily exercise. Excellent customer service at The Islander.
