"Very nice place. Love the decorations throughout the condo. The Linens were clean. I love how you can just walk out to the pool. It’s just a few steps away. Pool is clean and relaxing every time. And the beach is short walk around the tennis course. Not bad at all. Once you see the ocean you will love love it!! We do. We will be back for sure.

Our time at the Islander

"We had a great experience staying at the Islander. It was super nice and very clean. Plenty of towels and kitchen is stocked well. The livingroom is very comfy and so many pillows it's hard to find somewhere to put them all.
The only thing I would suggest is fixing the corner of the rug that won't stay down. We tripped over it several times. Couldn't get it to stay laid down.

Perfect stay for a beach vacation

"We wanted a beach vacation that was low key, had easy beach access, plenty of space to relax and was close to shopping and dining. This rental had it all! The unit was ground level- which initially we were reluctant to select (no view of the gulf) however the location and convenience greatly outweighed that fact - and we were ON the beach the majority of the time so we didn’t need just the view!

The unit was clean and had all the amenities needed to make simple lunches etc, it was convenient to have groceries delivered to our doorstep and we were set for the week with basic meals and snacks. Beds were comfortable and showers great! And the a/c was perfect and worked very well despite the heat advisory that was happening. It was a nice quick 5ish minute walk to the beach- and when it got too hot- we could go back to the room to cool off. We also appreciated the pool shower being right outside the back sliding door- we could get all the sand off and keep our unit clean.

The pool was quiet and relaxing, we even had it to ourselves at one point for about an hour. Great to float and chill there or relax poolside. It was right outside the unit, so convenient!

One of the best parts was having free beach service- 2 chairs and an umbrella. Walking from our room to the beach was so easy and convenient, just follow a nicely paved path to the beach gate. Once there we let the beach attendant know our info and we were good to go! We went early each day and had front row seating for the emerald waters and cool white powdery beach! It couldn’t be more perfect!

Parking was easy, it is gated with plenty of parking spots. The location of the resort was very easy to access and only about 30 minutes from the airport. The staff at the Islander were all so polite and helpful- we will definitely be returning and have been singing the praises of this perfect spot in Destin to our friends and family!

"Likes-pools are very warm and clean, beach is very clean and the complimentary chairs are wonderful. Location is perfect. Price was good for what we got. Staff is A++. Dislikes-I thought the unit could be cleaner, kids feet were black going barefoot. We wish more things had been provided such as hand soap to wash hands and salt and pepper. We also had to take the trash out and remove linens before we left, which we pay for so didn’t feel like we should have to do that ourselves Property is a bit dated, in my opinion. Overall I think we’d stay here again.

"The unit we stayed in was steps from the pool and just a short walk to the beach but the house was so perfect that we hung out there a lot. There are beach toys and chairs in the closet. Books to read on the shelf and more in the laundry room. DVD on the bookshelf and laundry room too! The beds were comfy. The kitchen fully stocked. If I ever go back to Destin, I would stay at this place again. We did not encounter a single negative thing at the rental.

This unit is lovely and decorated tastefully.
The furnishings were good, and the master bed is so comfortable.
Two pools, two hot tubs and a beautiful stretch of beach - what else could we ask for.
Enjoyed the convenience of a ground floor unit - quick and easy access to the beach and pool.

"The actual unit was a bit outdated but was clean. Being on the 1st floor was very convenient. The islander as a whole was great. The only complaint I have is the laundry room was not kept (same left behind clothing stacked in the same place for a week) and more than 1/2 of the washers and dryers were broken. The staff was very friendly and was always helpful.

"We’ve stayed here for the past 10 years and are so happy each and every time. The rooms are always clean and the amenities are nice. Having the umbrella and 2 chairs is very nice to have and not have to lag them back and forth from the room to the beach. The only recommendation I have is lowering the heat on the hot tubs, they were to the point of it being painful to get it. I met a few different families that felt the same as us concerning the hot tub.

"Condo was ok but wasn’t platinum status. Condo needs a new mattress for the sofa sleeper. It was springs only, no one could sleep on it. New bedding comforters needed. The inside was coming out of the one in the 2nd bedrm. Rugs throughout the condo needed. No pot holders. The fridge did not get real cold.

"We had a great vacation as always at the Islander. The only complaint I can have is the couch in our unit was awful. The cushions kept sinking down into the pull out bed so it was never comfortable to sit on, not a huge deal but the only thing that was a negative.
